How do I dye polyester swim trunks black?
Okay, so I have this dye (brand Dylon:Velvet Black) which is a permanent fabric dye. Only thing is that it says on the back that you can't dye polyester/spandex/nylon or acrylic due to special finishes that reject dyes.
However, I know polyester can be dyed other colors and have seen people who have done it.
So my question is would I be able to dye my blue board shorts black? If so, what should I do?
If you want to chance it, you can try to dye them, but chances are it will not be very successful. Why not just enjoy the blue ones and look for a pair of black ones on sale. Good luck.
